Crossfit Tucson is starting a "Fitness Solider" brand of boot camp, which is based on the founding owner's military background. I put together this piece to celebrate that brand. It was originally a t-shirt idea, but they liked it so much that they printed it as a banner and hung it in the gym, which is something I'm very proud of.
(I won't take credit for the paint splashes, as they were made available for free online, but i colored them and put them together as you see here to make this. The logo and cutout are my work, however.)
You can see the original source (the owner himself, from a photo taken when he was serving in Asia) for the soldier art here.
Just a flyer used in-house to promote personal training to existing group training members. I just always have enjoyed the contrast of the red and white text over the darker background. They were also very satisified with this result.
In 2010, Cataphora published a book about the concept of the digital you. It was a companion piece to our Digital Mirror software. The titleE-Habits: What You Must Do to Optimize Your Professional Digital Presence Hardcoveris what happens when a marketing team (in this case, the publisher) gets hold of an idea they don't quite understand. Our original preferred titleThe Digital You never quite happened.
We wanted to do a re-print at some point, and so I made a few book cover ideas for our publisher to consider.
Larger copies of each cover can be viewed here, here, and here.
I made this infographic to be used on our corporate blog to display the results of our Digital Mirror love life survey. We got a decent chunk of submissions, and we wanted to visualize what people told us.

The shield was clip art, but I was responsible for the collage of buildings in it, and it's a darn fine Photoshop job if I do say so myself.
(The layout beyond the shield was also my handiwork as well. Overall this is just a pretty piece.)
My favorite part of this has always been the classy reflection of the logo on the black. That was all the rage at the time, and I was happy to find a way to use it myself.
An 8.5x11 double-sided print slick for Cataphora from our legal business days. I was always fond of the cover column art layout and the logo treatment in the lower right on the back outside page.

While not responsible for the picture, I thought it was a nice classy way to show that we were on our way to a new office.
The quote was a good one too, and while it probably is a bit grandiose for a startup, it worked in context.
The design isn't very fancy here, but I think the layout (which includes copy that I wrote) is pretty creative.
My wife and her sisters started a clothing store which focused on high end trendy brands. It was a very cute little store, and I offered to help out with the branding and collateral.
The logo is my creation as well. Making a logo for them was very challenging, but that was a pretty interesting idea, I thought.
My feminine side had to really come out for this postcard, but I think it did quite nicely. I'm still very proud of this piece, as I think it's a really classy design that has good balance and design to it.
I always liked this invite graphic. The backlash against all the Silicon Valley startup indulgence was pretty strong in the early 2000s, and so this seemed like an obvious choice for our revenue-driven (you know - like how they used to do it) startup.
