    2013 › Cataphora

The 2013 version of the Cataphora home page. We had a tendency to want to put a lot of content on the home page, so this design tries to best allow that without being overwhelming. The continued goal of keeping the "good stuff" above the fold is in practice here with our specific latest news bits and industries featured across the top.

    What I did

This site was built in Wordpress, and I was responsible for everything you see outside of content writing.

Note: This is availble to be viewed online.

2012 › First Peoples New Directions

The University of Arizona worked in collaboration with 3 other universities to create an initiative for selected books in the area of indigenous studies. They needed a website to promote the project, as well as show the titles and other related content.

    What I did

For the site itself, I used Wordpress, and I am responsible for everything on it. Here, it features an image made by another designer, however it is an interactive image map, which I was responsible for.

    2012 › Jeri & Brian

My niece needed a website for her wedding to provide information to guests. The theme of the wedding was Mary Poppins, so the site naturally reflected that.

    What I did

Everything (including the custom logo) outside of the Mary Poppins umbrella handle and the other bottom clip art. This site was hand-coded.

    2012 › Songs of Power & Prayer

The Oregon State University Press wanted to have a custom mini site for a specific title that featured information, as well as audio recordings of songs discussed in the book

    What I did

This site was hand-coded, and I am responsible for the design and all coding.

Note: This is availble to be viewed online.

    2012 › Stiff Amps

A site for a small musical amp company. I especially enjoy the insertion of the amp in the classic rock photos.

    What I did

This site was hand-coded, and I am responsible for the design and all coding. Note that if you view it online, however, that the business owner has taken over the site since my initial creation.

Note: This is availble to be viewed online.

    2010 › Digital Mirror

Cataphora released a consumer version of our email analysis tools called Digital Mirror (you can see more of it under the "Applications" section above). This was the home page for the accompanying website where visitors can download the software.

    What I did

Everything you see on the screen here minus the book cover design. This site was hand-coded.

Note: This is availble to be viewed online.

    2010 › Wolvervine Market

A small market in Port Huron, Michigan needed a website. The site was not online long, but it was still a nice design. I thought the splashes of wine were a nice touch.

    What I did

This site was hand-coded, and I am responsible for the design and all coding outside of the logo.

    2010 › Wolvervine Market (cont'd)

An inside page for the market, showing their available wines.

    What I did

This site was hand-coded, and I am responsible for the design and all coding outside of the logo.

    2009 › Cataphora site ideas

Some mockups of our company site design that we used in 2009. It was typical that I would make 3-4 mockups for each iteration of our site so that we could have options to consider. Neither of these were the exact final version, but I liked both regardless.

    What I did

I was responsible for all design and mockup work, along with coding each version as we got closer to a final design. You can view larger versions of each design here and here.

    2009 › Quench

My wife started up an eBook publishing company with 3 friends called Quartet. Their first imprint was Quench, which was going to serve the surprisingly large romance novel eBook market. The company didn't succeed, but I did make a mockup of a site for them.

    What I did

I am responsible for the logos and the design. The flower clip art was 3rd party.
